Vintage scope

Yes, they were good scopes back then and still are good scopes.Fact is there are plenty of great old scopes.Good glass is good glass, plus most of the great old scopes are lighter.Know what to look for and what brands and models to get. Most of the older American and Japanese higher end scopes fit that description. Some of the Bushnell Elite ...and. a Japanese brand that has been around for a long time made very fine scopes.

They are clearer and more pleasant to look through for prolonged shooting sessions than the side focus scopes of today. The front AO set up for strange reason seems clearer with a much better eyebox and FOV than side focus versions of the same scope.

I just received another order of Bushnell TAC 5-15x40 FRONT AO SFP 15x Mildot scopes that rival the SWFA SS 3-15x42 in brightness and clarity believe it or not.

They are the modern day evolution of the OLD BUSHNELL Elites and still made on JAPAN and not CHINA (PRAISE JESUS!!!)

Old scopes made in the Philipines are awesome too and so are the current Filipino ones. They are REALLY CLOSE to JAPAN quality optics and some are about neck and neck believe it or not.
