Benjamin VINTAGE BENJAMIN / SHORT 8 GRAM to LONG 12 GRAM CO2 / ADAPTER?

Warmer weather is here, and its time for some CO2 shooting...
I have a couple of vintage Benjamins that utilize the short, oddball, 8 gram CO2 cartridge's.
My supply of these short CO2's is getting low.
Instead on buying more of these short C02's, Im wondering if its possible to simply purchase a adapter of some sort, to utilize the newer style, longer 12 gram cartridges.
This would also provide a much longer shot cycle, before depleating.
I have not purchased any CO2 in years, but Im guessing that the larger 12 gram versions, are probably still less expensive than the smaller version as well.
Anyone have a source for such adapter, and if so, were there any cons to a conversion?

This has the thread-count and size. It's all I've been able to find.

You could have one made at a local machine shop for not a lot of money. I'd make it bigger and then bulk fill it for more shots.

I have considered having a local machine shop make a few.
To be honest, I am a little surprised that someone has not already done so.
