I had a friend that was an IBM tech and in his company provided tool kit was a small tube of Loctite 222. He gave me some and ever since (25yrs) i have had some in my shop. It is designed for fasteners up to 1/4" and separates without using killer force, yet I have never had it fail.
On any smaller fasteners Red Loctite needs plenty of heat to yield.
