I have one of the dryers. One of the first things I got. Thanks for the suggestion
You're welcome! Also I have probably done 10 runs since getting it and I haven't had to change the filters inside the separator yet. I always turn the compressor on under no load for atleast 2 minutes to blow off whatever moisture may be inside and I have yet to see any moisture come out.

Good idea I’ll be trying that on my next one

I purchased the GX C4 compressor before Christmas. Have been happy with it. Also have a vibration timer. The fill speed is good for me on tanks.
My dead head tests are still between 25 and 27seconds. I have over 20hrs on it, and I haven't turned the grease knob on it yet.

Have a GX CS4-I going on 15 months. Pulled the grease cup when compressing and only put in to add grease when needed. Heat is the nemesis of compression. As others have done, added an additional fan cooled radiator (easy install). Even with air/oil cooled units just keep on top of run time and temps and you will extend the life of any compressor.

What is the additional fan cooled radiator are you talking about? Any recommendations on the vibration timer?

Here’s my two with amzon or aliexpress parts. Both portable on dollys.

Got a PC radiator off Amazon. Comes with a 12v dc fan built into it. About 4x4 inches square and about 2 inches thick. Mounted on top of compressor where I had plenty of of surface area to mount and then dispels the removed heat upward It takes the water after the primary cooler in the compressor to remove any additional heat before going into the compression cylinder. Added a 12v timer to the unit also. All very compact.

BTW... I plumbed the YH to the fresh water tap from the sink in the shop and it drains in the sink. That water is ice cold. I can adjust the flow to a nice slow flow but more than a pump would put out. It's about half the flow of a shower. I can run the compressor in 20 minute sessions and the temp never even reaches 120f. I think this is the key to making these things last.
I did the same for my YHs for filling an SCBA tank. It takes less space and is less messy than the bucket and hoses. Our house bunnies would ignore it, so the noise wasn't that bad, according to the experts.
