Veteran Taipan assembly spacer part

Right in front of the regulator in the plenum on my Taipan Veteran Long is an aluminum cylinder bushing that is a little undersized(has some play in the air tube) and that has a small hole in the side. I'm just curious if this is a factory part? I do have a power plenum that I want to install eventually...

Hint.. Right in front of the regulator in the airtube on my Taipan veteran long is an aluminum plenum.

Yup, the aluminum tube is a "Stand Off" spacer holding the physical regulator a determined distance away from the valves end cap.
Between the regulators O-RINGS sealing to the I.D. of tube is a small vent hole threw the tube that must fall between the o-rings.
This space created is the plenum.

Did you get an owners manual with the gun? There is a schematic that shows all the parts on a Veteran. And I think if you do a search, someone had posted an image of the schematic some time ago.

The play you are talking about will probably dissapear when the gun is pressurised, as the regulator will be pushed against the spacer.

Leave the spacer inplace when adding the power plenum.

Drilling holes in said spacer = more air in plenum.
