Taipan Veteran II 25 long

So I grabbed a used Veteran II 25 long and have searched a few threads, but not much has come up. What are people shooting in these rifles? I noticed tightening the moderator changes POI.....Anybody have data on slugs it likes.

I cleaned the barrel and took it out to 50 yards with the AEA 33.9 and it did pretty good.

Any help will be appreciated.

I think you have the same twist as my Ghost 1:17.7, JSB MK2 33.95 @ 910 fps should work well.

Tony, I thought you got rid of a Vet long a while back. Different caliber? Kinda weird about mod shifting poi. Any thoughts WHY? Hope all's well pal

My first ”real” pcp was a veteran standard in 25….This is a whole different beast with a tension barrel.

Taipan recommends to put the mod on “really tight” for harmonics and tension. Makes sense that poi shifts at different torque…

Thanks, It didn't come with a manual so I will see if I can find one online...especially for the O ring sizes.

I have the same gun tested 20 diffrent slugs the best were the h&n .250 38 grain sub moa at about 930fps and the zan 37 .250 close to submoa
also a picture where i tested fps and accuracy at 70meters (group size is in mm and fps is with circle around)
