I bought an FX Vermy 2 years age and never shot it more than 75 rounds because the rear tank has always had a little wiggle left to right. I am getting ready to sell the gun and I would like to tighten the tank. I tired tighting the 2mm allen screw at the rear frame housing. It stayed firm for 10 times of pick up and handling. I don't want to spend more money on the rifle if I am already losing by owning it. Question can I fix it by taking the rear block off the frame and shim it somehow ? Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Verminator MK 1 loose tank

Their is a set screw on the rear bottle adapter. If that is loose the bottle will move some. You will need to remove the bottle to tighten. Do not over tighten the bottle when reassembling.

With bottle removed there is a small #2 allen screw, I tired tightening that one. It seemed to work for a little while but tank is loose again. Maybe that was the wrong screw ?

Sorry for the late reply. That is the right screw. try a new screw with some green Loctite and snug it down. On my Gladiator I drilled a divot for the set screw to tighten into.

I'll back out the set screw and see what the threaded block does. it moves left and right with my fingers. But it should not work like that and need any extra machine work to make the air bottle not wobble. I'll probably just stick with plan A and sale it on ebay since it has problems and needs work.
