I was playing around with some adjustments to a new to me Hatsan AT44-10 in .25 that has been gone through and tuned by Brian at Veradium Air. I will provide a full review of the rifle soon. So yesterday I was playing around and getting the chrony data etc for the JSB EXACT KING HEAVY MKII 33.95 pellets. That rifle loves those little chunks of lead.
I had made a simple single shot tray from a clothes pin and was shooting some H&N Barracudas (they are dead on windage but hit about 1 1/2 inches high at 20 yards) the rifle is sighted in for the JSB MKII's.
Imagine my delight as I saw a squirrel about 25 yards away in the tree canopy. Since I had the benefit of the clothes pin SS tray I removed the Barracuda and put in one JSB MKII
The scope view was a tree rat stretched out on a branch that ran almost directly inline with the trajectory. A shot would perhaps graze the left shoulder but not kill. I debated moving but did not want to make any noise. So I took aim at the front left shoulder blade and waited to see if it would turn its head... And waited... Well what do you know he turned his head. Finger pad press the trigger blade and that squirrel dropped like a rock.

It was pretty obvious to me that the pellet traveled up and into his left ear then out of the top of the skull shattering the skull cap into many pieces. I started dressing him out for the pelt as well as the hind legs. I took a closer look at the entry and exit wounds. I only laid the head fur back to show the exit wounds. as you squeezed his skull it felt like small rocks loose in a bag of fur. definite massive damage.
I was able to get a good pelt and the legs were delicious.
