Vector Veyron 4-16x44mm FFP Now With an Illuminated Reticle for $265

@ThomasT Looking forward to your review.
Hello @Ezana4CE

Good morning and just an update on the scope I haven't forgotten to post a review. It appears that my order got shipped out OK from Optics Warehouse but the package is tied up in this UK Postal Strike going on over there. I haven't been able to track it and Optics Warehouse has not been able to get any updates.

Finally found this scope for sale elsewhere. Optics Planet now has the Veyron 4-16 FFP IR listed at $239.99 This is the first time I’ve seen it for sale somewhere other than Edgun West. Edgun West charges an additional $30 for shipping. Take advantage of a deal with Optics Planet holiday coupon code during the Christmas season. BUT, please be mindful of lonnng shipping times (5-7 weeks).

@ThomasT It does look like a decent scope to try out on a compact bullpup or carbine/pistol for a close to mid-range setup. @Vetmx says it looks like it came from the BugBuster factory. I was kind of thinking that myself looking at the photos, but I have not owned a BugBuster scope to know for sure. The price is right to test the scope. Let us know what you think if you do.
Hello @Ezana4CE

Well after a really long delay ( 7 days ) by the US Customs in Chicago I received the Vector Cerato 3-9x32 Compact Rifle/Pistol Scope. It is almost identical to the UTG Bug Buster with very subtle differences, like the lettering on the scope. Comes with the Scope, Picatinny Rings, Allen Wrench, Sun Shade, Lens Covers, Cleaning cloth and a very small Manual. Good glass, very positive Turrets, focus down to 3-yards, side adjust illuminated reticle, and a battery. I purchased it from Optics Warehouse in the UK and I think it is a good buy for the price.

Out of stock now but Archery Air gun Fun (Wes) had that scope for $66.17. Exactly like the bug buster too a tee except for the lettering and Wes's site say's min. focus to 5 yds.

Hello @kayaker

Yes, it sure looks like what I purchased and the Bug Buster but the "5-yard" focus is why I did not purchase that one. I have an indoor range at 15-feet and I need that 3-yard focus. I have a Bug Buster also and it works perfect at 15-feet and I use it on my 25-yard targets.

Thanks for all the info and links. This is helpful. 👍🏼

I noticed that this scope continues the bad habit of UTG/ Leapers of mismatching the reticle to the turrets....
The reticle is in MIL ≠ but the turrets are in MOA.... 🤦‍♂️

However, the size and the 3y parallax are awesome. 😊

Hello @JungleShooter

I would not be surprised if both scopes came from the same factory.

Hello @Ezana4CE

I mounted the Vector scope on my FX Crown and shot 80+ rounds this morning and the scope held the POI perfect. I put all 80+ rounds in a hole that a nickle would cover.

Next I mounted the scope on my Diana Chaser / Buck Rail combination and shot 32 rounds and again the scope held the POI real good ( the Chaser is not as accurate as my Crown :) ). It sure looks good on this Carbine set up. I had to use a set of Adapters to mate the Picatinny Rings to the Dovetail rail.

I realize this is not a complete test for the scope but so far it appears to be a solid unit.

@ThomasT That’s what I was hoping to see. Thanks for the detailed input. I still haven’t had time to mount and use my Veyron 4-16x44. It’s still sitting in the box.
Hello again @Ezana4CE

As I get to use it more and more if anything of value shows up I will let you know.

Hope you get to mount the 4-16x44 and give a review. I am in the process of building another pistol/rifle that will be used mainly for 25-yard targets and I believe that scope would work perfect for me.

So I finally mounted and sighted in my 4-16x44 Vector Veyron IR FFP scope. I only shot one group. Glass is what you’d expect from a Veyron. I’m not so big a fan of the clarity at 16x. At least not from my first impression. The reticle is still thin as it has been in the 3-12x models, but this one has graduated holdover dots (not Christmas tree styles dots). The IR only illuminates the center dot which really only seems like it would be beneficial to use while on higher magnification 10-12x or higher. It would be nice if the entire reticle lit up. That at least seems more practical. I’ll know more about the practical application with more use, after installing a throw lever, and after hunting during twilight with this scope. I’ll update this thread more at a later time.

I own this scope x16, have used it sparingly, so I don't have a lot of feedback to give. Not that I am an expert on optics either, but I can tell what I like and don't etc.

To me, it's a good little scope, perfect for hunting. I actually like the reticle a lot. I hate those super busy ones. I'm also not a fan of a reticle that lights up all the way. The center dot on this is purrrfect for me. Have not had any issues with the IR coming on while turning the parallax, matter of fact, damn thing requires a Herculean effort to turn on. Need to see if there is a way to fix that? I don't generally use the IR much anyway, but I like to have it just in case the need arrises.

I currently have it mounted on my HW-95K. Too early to say if it's good to go or not, but so far so good. I only sighted it in two days ago and took a couple shots. Will likely test further today.

After some shooting this evening I waited for the sun to em begin setting to glass a treeline to the west. This gave me great silhouettes. I turned the IR on 6 and looked for squirrels. I wasn’t able to position myself to see the one I heard, but the IR was reflective for my vision beginning at 8x magnification. Against a brighter background (the sky) the red dot shot up pretty crisp. When I moved it towards some tree trunks at times I lost the reticle but the dot was well lighted. Next I scanned the forest floor and here’s where things got interesting.

Against all of the browns reddish orange colored leaves I noticed that the reticle crosshairs also lit up some in a deep red that set it apart from the similar colored background. I don’t know if this had to do with parallax or what. I had the scope on 10x magnification when I noticed this. Then when I swung the gun back up towards the canopy where there was more light I only saw the red center dot and the black reticle. I’d like to play with this some more to see if this occurs on a consistent basis.

Also, maxiumum magnification (16x) looked fine outdoors in regular light and low natural light around sunset. When it looked bad to me (as stated in a previous post) I was mounting my scope (indoors) and viewing a target on a wall in a different room with different lighting. I guess the different light intensities and/or colors made the target’s image quality look darker and sort of muddled.

Hello @Ezana4CE

Just another follow up on the Vector Cerato 3-9x32 Compact Rifle/Pistol Scope. I have now shot at least 200+ rounds mounted on three different guns and so far it has preformed very well. I mounted it on a Snowpeak PP800R pistol and shot about 100 rounds and here is a photo of the last target that I shot, score 34 out of a possible 36. I am satisfied with it at this point.

From what you have written, it sounds like you are pleased with the Vector.

I have the 6-24 FFP IR Veyron. So far, it seems like a lot of scope for the money. The only issue I've had is that the reticle is unusable below about 9 power in the FFP version - it's just too small to see. However, I can still use the red dot at the lowest power with the IR turned on. Only drawback is that the red dot in the center isn't sharp until the reticle is visible too.
I just picked up a used FX Impact Mk2 and was looking at possibly getting the 6-24x44 for it. I could only find it FFP. How does this compare with the Marksman 6-24x50? I have the Veyron 3-12x44 FFP and really like it on my Hatsan Flashpup.
