Memorial Day sale at Vector. I have 2 of their 3x12x44 sfp Veyron compact scopes & my only complaint is the super fine reticle. They now have that model with an ir dot, for $139.00. Should be an improvement?

Red dot IR on my 6-24x44 VVs is ideal. Full reticle IR, even with shade adjustment, on other brand scopes, washes out sight picture, VV's red dot can be shaded six ways with a Shade#1, OFF, Shade #2, OFF, Shade #3, Off, ,,, side-dial. Low light conditions, with red dot on lowest shade, works best for me. WM

I’m going to keep on saying this - the non-illuminated 3-12x FFP Veyrons are great for me. Been using them for a few years, mainly for squirrel hunting. The 4-16x FFP IR Veyron sucks. The illumintaed center dot is useless in the woods or low light situations outside of PB range and the IQ isn’t so hot to my eyes. If you catch one on sale for $150 or less, maybe it will be worth while to you. I recommend that you don’t pay full price for the 4-16x FFP IR. The 3-12x is worth its retail price in my opinion, but sales are always great to save money.
