To answer both last posters, no, I did not hit my limit. I use adjustable mounts on my crown and set the mounts so at my 50 yard zero I was only approx. 1.5 turns down till I hit full stop. That way I had plenty of up travel past 50.
With the zero stop I had both zero stop down and up! And thst answers your question, Dave, yes I feel it is a design flaw.
Below are pics of what I sent tech support. So when you pull the top turret off you’ll see what I’m calling “plate A” set at the bottom of the elevation knob tower. That oval slot faces up. If you took that plate A off, underside of plste A is a pin and a cut out oval slot same as the plate A.
Then in a seperate baggie was the ZS plate. Basically a doughnut ring with a pin underneath. On the sides of this plate were three set screws to anchor onto the elevation tower when you want to lock in your zero. Standard industry stuff, right? All except for plate A with the oval slot. You can see how a pin on the ZS plate would come to a halt both turning CW and CCW.
I really wanted this zero stop to work. I already owned the sentinel 10-40 x 56 with resettable to zero turrets and have it mounted on my crown EBR 50 yard bench gun. I just thought having this same model with a zero stop would be the coolest, but it didn’t work out, unfortunately. I remounted the original sentinel and just going to make do without a ZS.
I wanted to add that Maria in tech support was very helpful from start to finish.
Vector just needs to revisit that design, to allow unlimited rotations upwards
