Ok guys my Vapormax came in today so I wanted to do a little review. First thoughts are the stock feels pretty solid for it being all plastic it does shoulder well and the pump arm doesn't seem to flex much. The action and magazines are a little sticky but I'm sure they will smooth out as I shoot it more. The trigger is a little heavy averaging 5.7 lbs but does break well and is not overly long. Pumping is pretty easy to 5 pumps but not too heavy at 10.
Ok now to the shooting, my house is at 7000' (2133m) so all my air guns except my pcp and co2 guns have a velocity disadvantage but I can say this gun shoots accurately and pretty hard here are some velocities with a few pelles,
Gamo Platinum 5.4gn
2 pumps 546.3
5 pumps 790.4
10 pumps 916.5
Max Energy 10.074 ft lb
Crosman premier 7.9gn
2 pumps 414.9
5 pumps 626.6
10 pumps 771.8
Max Energy 10.451
Meisterkugeln 7gn
2 pumps 468.8
5 pumps 662.4
10 pumps 807.9
Max Energy 10.147
JSB Exact Heavy 10.34gn
2 pumps 443.5
5 pumps 610.3
10 pumps 695.2
Max Energy 11.099
Here's some targets shot at 15 yards with 5 pumps and open sights straight out of the box
So far I'm really liking this, I will be putting a scope on it so more accuracy testing to come.
