Looking at a very nice FWB 300. Prices have been going up but what is a collector grade one worth?

Depends on which model specifically the RT would probably fetch at least $1600 in mint condition up to $2000. A regular type2 probably $800-$850 minimum. Older ones maybe $650-$750.

Thx Yo, Just a regular 300 (not a 300S) but it's very nice. The gentleman who owned it was a collector and kept his guns in great condition. I am paying $650. This one has a serial number of 92672 Made between 1971 and '72.

That probably needs a complete reseal and go through if it was never done before. Which is totally normal.
You have to shoot it at least once in a while.

If it's really that nice, I'd go for it. I'm assuming a standard stock in walnut (also made in beech which is less valuable).
Historically speaking, it was the 300 that utterly dominated 10-meter competition worldwide, even more than the S. It is more rare than the S and has more sporter-like looks, which many prefer.

Thanks @mdriskill for your perspective. I've bought a couple of airguns via auctions or online ads and it's always a crap shoot. Best if you can actually handle the merchandise before paying but hardly ever happens anymore. I recently bought a "fabulous" 124D on an auction and actually talked with the gun shop that was selling it for a customer. When I got it I was ...expecting it to be better but I have to admit that it was pretty nice. Bottom line is that I complained about some scribed in lines at the dovetail base that I have speculated were put there by the owner to prevent the scope rings from moving. It was a stupid thing to do and wasn't entirely visible until the scope was removed for shipping. The owner of the gun shop admitted to their culpability and said they should have informed me before sending it to me. They offered to take the gun back but it's nice enough for me so I'm keeping it. They decided to send to me a check for $100 to make up for the mistake. I'm happy but I am sure not all stories like this turn out as well. Sorry for being long winded but that brings me to the FWB300 I just bought based on photos. I have actually spoken with and verified that the seller is legit. The original owner was her deceased dad and he was a gun collector. Kept everything immaculate. We'll see when I get the gun. Probably will need new breach seal & buffer pad. The stock looks more little more sporty than a 300S and it has a weight that is attached to the forearm. I have seen this on rare occasion for the 300S but never on a 300. Don't know much about the weight - may be factory but also could be an aftermarket accessory. FWB is famous for non-standard products at times. Anyway, for those who are interested here's a photo. Case and accessories are included with the deal.

That's a beautiful AG. I've been "needing" a FWB150T to complement my FWB300SU, but maybe I should look for a FWB300, after viewing your picture? FWIW, my 300SU at 10-20 meters is accuracy comparable to a quality PCP (AA S500). I'm certain you'll be very happy with your new acquisition. The breech seal and essential buffer are no problem, the rest of the gun is eternal.

The fore end weight was a feature of the initial FWB rifle, the model 150. Have never seen one on a 300 but don't know why it wouldn't fit. The 300 and 300S typically have a barrel sleeve weight instead.
The things hanging under the fore end rail are of course not FWB OEM pieces. It's a total gas to shoot one of these old rifles with the big free-rifle palm rest though, I have a couple of them that I love to play with.
Do NOT let them ship the gun in that case, unless they add further bracing and remove the sight so it can be separately wrapped. The gun WILL move if the case is banged hard or dropped and damage can result (and yes, I learned this one the hard way).

@airsupply - when I get it I will post some photos. Looks great from some photos I've seen and based on discussions with owner but I'l bet it will need new buffer and breech seal.
