UX 850 M2 Pellet Test @ 12 Yards

I decided to try my first co2 rifle because I've never had any experience with this type of powerplant and was curious.

I picked up the 850 M2 because I had read reviews where people liked them (and the original 850) and thought they were very accurate. I cleaned the barrel yesterday, shot about 150 pellets through to lead it and attached a scope. This morning I put in a new 88 gram cartridge and did some testing in the basement at 12 yards and have attached my results - I did 5 shots for each target. I had read that it's best to wait in between shots as the co2 cools and affects fps so I waited 10 seconds before taking the next shot.

My expectations might be off but for the most part I would have expected the type of groups I got to be those at something like 25 yards, not 12 yards especially since its indoors.

Out of the 19 pellets I tested, the best seem to be the AA Field and AA Field Heavy with both giving 1/4" C2C.

Are these types of groupings normal for the 850 at such short distances or might there be an issue with the rifle?

Didn't think the new ones would be pellet fussy but at least the AA (both) shoot fine.

I think that barrel is probably below average but barely decent enough shooting AA.

I would send it back for an exchange. It's supposed to shoot more pellets and produce same hole groups at that close distance. Bummer it doesn't like the Wal-Mart CPHPs and 7.4gr Pointed.
