Hey guys I am looking for a scope with servicable glass for short range hunting, under 45 yards for me. Anyway I was looking at the utg labeled at pyramid air as "4x UTG 4x32 CQB Compact Rifle Scope, EZ-TAP, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 1" Tube, See-Thru Weaver Rings" i was hoping the glass would be clear since its fixed and low power. I think its the same as a bugbuster so if you have a fixed bugbuster please tell me your thoughts. Ty

I have 2 utg scopes they sit in my gun room gathering dust I don’t see a sharp image in any of them throughout their zoom range if your looking to keep cost down look at Discovery they compare well with scopes costing 2 and 3 times as much

What rifle will it go on?Sry I can't offer anything usefull as to UTG/Leapers scopes However Hawke makes a small light scope,Vantage series, 2-7x 32, AO, length 11.5 inches,weight 14.7 oz, $150.00. // Bushnell engage series,2-7 x 36,non AO, length 13.4 ",weight 11.4oz. $140.00. I've been eyeing either of these 2 for my Flashpup. I think the reticle in the vantage is more suited to standard air rifle trajectories. Oh,I have owned several Tech Force scopes,4 X 32, duplex reticle, light weight,avg length 13/14". Around $30.00.Glass was fine and they held up on several T97 & B36? underlever Shanghei air rifles but did not survive on the stronger springers.. You could scope out joewayneray threads.He's the forum expert

UTG proudly stands behind their products, but that just doesn't change the fact that they are crap. Piss poor glass, piss poor turrets, and an outer tube that won't let you snug it down secure without distorting it.

I'm done with them, and suspect they will be "no longer in business" before too long. JMO

Yeah joe lead me to hawk vantage for a similar price.

I started out with the Bugbuster class and had very good luck with them. For the price they are decent. Glass is ok. Killed a crap ton of game with them. The true hunter series are good also. I have currently started switching over to Hawke scopes, they are much nicer but of course your gonna pay more.
