UTG 3-12X44 compact scope... pretty impressive

I've had a few Leapers/ UTG scopes and generally they are serviceable, but not awe inspiring by any means, but I recently got this scope on a used gun I bought and it's pretty dang good. The glass is clear as anyone could want, the side AO is dead on, the thing returns to zero as it should. Box test was right on at 30 meters. The colors for the reticle are many and have plenty of bright to dim settings. In fact there's so many colors and such that I just leave it on red/green, but if you do find a color you like, it comes back on to your preferred color each time. It's pretty darn good in low light too.
I guess my only gripes are it's on the heavy side, but not overly so, and the reticle is a bit thick, but that's common of a lot of scopes and more a preference than a gripe. Maybe the clicks could be a bit more positive, but they work well, so not a big deal. I looked up the price an at 2.3 clams it's a darn good scope. It would be a darn good scope at three times that price.

MSRP, street price is less. These are an upgrade from the regular Accushot.
Ah ok I know the ones I had were the acu shot 3-12 compacts. I think I got one on a used gun then bought another for 135 dollars. Definitely nice at that price point. Guess I didn’t realize they made a slightly higher level one.

Ive got 2 UTG true hunter platform scopes that Ive had for 12 or 13 yrs, been on some heavy hitting magnum springers, RWS 48 and 54 plus Hatsan 135 and neither has ever skipped a beat. One scope the front lens came loose so I just put a drop of super glue on edge of lens and its been fine since.
Both are clear and pretty bright with nice mil-dots that are a perfect size for squirrel hunting in the woods, easy to see.
Only downside is fairly heavy.

I don't know if I'm going crazy or not, but the ONLY complaint I have with the 3-12x is the slightly thick mildot reticle.
Sooo, Amazon had a sale on returned OP3 versions of the compact with moa turrets/reticle and I bought a 3-12x and a 4-16x. These have fine reticles and even at 16x clear as all get out, really impressive. I constantly surprised how bright and clear they are. I have a Hawke Frontier 3-15x and it's a super scope, but I really prefer the UTG, better eye box, easier to see markings on reticle, ie 10, 20 moa etc.
These scopes upped the game on mid line scopes. They're as good or better than Vector Veyron.
