Why is the new UTG 2-16x44 so much more expensive than the 4-16x44 or 4-16x56? Is it the wider zoom range or is it about the optical quality?

I currently have this scope on my Airforce Texan. The wider zoom range and glass etched optic makes it more expensive. The scope reticle is a thin,numbered mil-dot with IR( illuminated reticle). It illuminates only a small portion of the cross hairs which is good in low light and doesn't ghost. This is a great airgun hunting scope due to 2x with wide field of view up to 16x but you can't range with it accurately. It's clarity is on par with other glass etched UTG scopes.
