So I'm a 'regular' (but not a really frequent) customer of Utah Airguns. In the past I've bought some new guns from them, but lately it has been a couple of used guns and accessories. And they have always treated me well.
I recently bought a used gun from them, which I received yesterday. I assumed (key word here) that the gun would come with a magazine, even though it was not directly specified in the listing nor shown in the pic. I also purchased a magazine on the same order, once again assuming that now I would have 2.
When I received the gun, I saw only 1 mag, even after searching through the box and all of the packing material thoroughly. So I figured that either my initial assumption was wrong, or that maybe the 'second' mag just didn't get into the box during the picking/shipping process.
I called UA this morning to confirm which of the above cases occurred. Chad looked up the listing for the gun and confirmed that this particular gun did not have a magazine when traded in (he said that he's been getting more guns lately which are traded in without mags).
So I now understood that I had indeed received everything I had paid for.
Then Chad says to me that guns they sell should come with a magazine in his opinion, so he immediately puts through a no-charge order for me for another magazine.
I had bought the used gun based on a faulty assumption on my part (I could have known this up front with a phone call - UA is definitely one of the easier shops to get through to on the phone). But just purchased the gun using the easy route, made an assumption, and pressed the 'buy' button on their web site. Like I said above, I received everything that I paid for. Then UA goes above and beyond what they needed to do, based on their view of 'customer support before all else.' They didn't have to do this, they wanted to.
Thank you Utah Airguns. Your shop continues to be very high on my list of shops I will continue to buy my airguns and accessories from.
