USPS shipping delay Explained

OK so I order a small group of guns and it took what seemed like an excessive amount of time to reach me . Been almost 3 weeks and was shipped out promptly from Con. U.S. so I didn't expect any lengthly delay at all.Package contained 4 barrel actions and two stocks . Probably about 50 lbs I was guessing .
......Well fast fwd. To yesterday and the mystery has been solved for sure !!!!!

This is how the package appeared , nothing special about it till you picked it up and realized whatever was inside had a small amount of give ... and it slid around as one large mass ... Sounded like whatever It was , it was wrapped in plastic and Felt a little almost like somebody ( or parts of a body ) were inside ....I poop you not !!!!!!!
The mailman said it soon as he dropped it off ... I know because he called me later and ask what the hell was in there ???!!!
Yes its a small town and I know the mailman ...Point was he thought just like evidently every person who handled it thought ..

If it had come wrapped like this it couldn't have felt and sounded any creepier !!!!!
It had what looked like at least 5 different kinds of tape holding it closed. That thing been opened up and inspected more than a rental car !!¡!!!
If you were to mail somebody the dismembered body of a drifter ......This would be your go to package !!!!!!

I work at the airport here in Boise Idaho and we see a lot of HR coming in and going out. Quite a few Service Men and Women. They always go out head to the front.
Gives you pause, as you push that big box around, what kind of history it contains.

I've found FedEx to be the most reliable, and choose it whenever possible. It also tends to be the least expensive, in my experience.

I have no expectations with regard to the USP so-called S. I have absolutely no use for it. At this point, it is nothing more than a conduit for junk mail. It is an utter and total waste of taxpayer money, and I hope Congress shuts it down.

Got 2 different orders of hydro film lost in the USPS MEMPHIS Tn. MARKED DELAYED! Thing about is no one has a clue where it went . Memphis USPS is bad about this. Handled at the Memhis hub and headed to destination.

Now a trigger shipped out of TN that was mailed regular mail and still has not made it.

I would say considering a gun barrel pretty much looks like a gun barrel be it air or firearm it is being put through further inspection

Because you're dealing with the USPS, and it is delayed! Not a complex concept. Stop doing business with the USPS!!!
