Fair enough. sorry to rant when I IMAGINE I see coordinated bashing of the US PS I feel like it's somehow My patriotic duty to share my good experiences with the institution or something it's a little bit crazy I admit.
The only company I've had truly good luck with is DHL but it's probably just a coincidence because I use them so rarely. They have gotten stuff to me stupid fast I don't even understand how it's possible.
There's this weird FedEx black hole in Troutdale Oregon. I have stuff sit there for like a week sometimes it's just a short drive from my house. It's enough to drive an impatient consumer who expects instant gratification (like me) crazy.
Do any of you remember in the 70s and 80s when you'd order crap from the back of comic books it would be like 6 to 8 weeks for delivery and that was minimum. Things have gotten better.

MrP-Please do not apologize, and I dont think you were ranting. And DHL although rarely used, delivers to me stupid fast. I, like you cant fathom how they do it. Truly stellar performance.

Yeah, like I said in another crappy shipping topic, I’m done ordering dumb stuff until well after the holidays. I didn’t have much of a choice with this gun. It was supposed to be here in October but it took until December. After 6 months wait I didn’t feel like saying just keep it until February. Can’t wait to see the box. I’m more excited about that than the gun.

I am lucky to have the best mail lady ever, but that GR MI Dist. Center Annex cost me $215.00 a couple yrs. ago when the package got lost and tracking showed it never left the facility, my bad I guess for not insuring the package. UPS has been reliable, professional and has the best tracking. I would pay more elsewhere If a vendor only used smart post.

Vetmx- I just wont do 2nd day air on anything any more. It just gets lost, smashed, or sent on a world tour, its always 2nd day stuff. Regular ground, here in record breaking time, well not really, but when it was suppose to be. Next day air I will do if I can afford it. And it always gets here on time, why, because if it doesn't they have to refund your money. None of the carriers guarantee anything except "next day"

Agree. I've had several packages from overseas through DHL arrive surprisingly fast and none really "late" at all. Odd, ain't it.

I can relate. Before Covid a couple years ago. I forget what I ordered. It went to Pittsburgh, then to Philadelphia, to a small town outside Philly for 3 days, back to Philly, back to Pittsburgh, finally to me. 70 miles south of Pittsburgh. Just remember it is government run. Name one program the government runs efficiently.

Str8- I used to have a great mail carrier, Cindy. She was the absolute best. She retired, and surely missed. The guy I have here in Highland is a putz.

Bandg-Crazy isn't it. Ship it overseas and it gets here faster than a post card from around the block. DHL does a great job and that's for sure.

At some point I put my big-boy pants on and purchased a Mercedes Benz SUV (first year of the Daimler Chrysler production.. mistake..) then I traded that in for a little 325i wagon (by far my favorite vehicle of all time). It was an e46 and I could just whip it in and out of corners like a professional. That wagon was so good, it drove itself! Then an e90 sedan (magnesium engine block.. oh my!)
Then the child was born and back to VW for economy. Flash forward to today and I am left with 2 Japs in the garage.. go figure..
So in an attempt to stay on topic, I have one German airgun. It’s a Walter LGU and I am smitten!

Actually I love German cars. Started years ago with that Mercedes SUV, a ML 430. Loved it and drove it into the ground. It finally said “No Mas” at 172 thousand miles. Went Japanese for a few years (Lexus and Toyota) then came back to Germany 6 years ago.Between the wife and myself we got 3, a BMW 435, a Porsche Cayenne S and an old (‘07) BMW Z4. All have been bulletproof so far and great fun.
Of course, I did work for a German company for 25 years

The German Audis Mercedes and BMWs 3 and 5 series and Porsche and even VWs are the most to fun to drive compared to all other brand vehicles there ain't nothing like German driving experience and freezing cold A/C too till they start giving problems...OH... Sidetracked here...

Top- my first car was a 65 Chevelle, bought it for $11.65. Thats what my buddy Harry owed me so he gave me the car to settle up. It had a 2 pc drive shaft in it and kept spitting them out. Finally got a 1pc drive shaft and that cured the problem. By the way it was a 4 door with a 6 cylinder and a 2 speed auto. So long aga I really dont remember what happened to that car.

So I had the ML430 too. I loved that the first and second generation MLs were based on a “truck” frame. Later they became unibody. For being top heavy, heavy overall, and large it drove very well. Most I see, including mine, were prone to rust around the wheel wells and rocker panels. I also had valve lifter issues which were quite common.

Chrisis-I love cars even more than guns. My "toy" is a 1986 Rx7, LS swapped, T56 6 speed, 4.10 limited slip but I put a spool in it, and stripped of everything not necessary, 2486 lbs curb weight and around 475 hp. Gets 24 mpg on the highway.
