Usps Delayed mail

All I can say is that the people who are saying there are no problems with USPS and FedEx are 'out of touch with reality'. I have typically a half dozen packages delivered each day by either USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL. I doesn't even bother tracking or waiting for a package anymore if it is coming by USPS which unfortunately includes all of Amazon stuff. Hey, what happened to my Amazon Prime 2nd day free shipping???? FedEx has been saying that my packages were delivered but they doesn't show up until the following day. UPS has the least delays but they are still slower than normal.

The problems with USPS started when the sorting machines were pulled. They got worse with the election mail in ballots and haven't recovered before Black Friday online sales started. I don't see things getting any better until after the Holiday returns season ends with all the extra people buying online because of Covid-19. It's sad because for a while USPS got pretty reliable and I actually started trusting them.

I had a Priority Mail shipped to me in California from Springfield, Illinois on Thursday (Dec 3).

It was due yesterday.

Yesterday morning it arrived in Boston, MA

Today it arrived in Stamford, CT.

Tomorrow it will probably arrive in Oakland, CA for delivery on Tuesday.

It is a regulator.

Had HUMA shipped it from Holland on Thursday, it would have arrived yesterday..

We, in the USA, should start learning Mandarin, very soon..

We are through.

Dadgum shipping companies. My wife's Christmas present arrived 3 days EARLY while she was home, on a dadgum SUNDAY!! WHAT THE HECK, Y'ALL!!

Just when you think it can't get ANY worse...

We really have it pretty good when a delay getting our luxury item toys is our biggest concern. We have good food and security that rest rest of the world envies.

I ship and receive thousands of packages per year (Mostly though USPS) and they are having major issues now. That said, as others have mentioned if you think UPS and Fedex are going to be trouble free you might be in for a surprise. 😳 Until the logistics systems are built up and the labor shortage corrected, customers are going to have to learn to live with the delays and not expect the same level of service that these carriers offered before. I'm not that old, but I'm old enough to remember when we had to write addresses on packages by hand and they basically "got there when they go there". 😅 To be honest, I think we've all become a bit spoiled by the delivery rates of the last few years. Our expectations need a reality check.

The sorting machines pulled were mostly outdated DCBS (Delivery bar code scanners) designed for 1st Class envelopes and bulk mail, not packages. The mail volume for 1st Class and bulk mail has plummeted almost as quickly as package volume has increased and the machines were no longer needed. This process has been going on for more than a decade, well before Covid19 and President Trump were a thing. It makes a good story for the media, but that's all it was.

This just happened to me as well. Ordered something last Tuesday, usually 2-3 days to get to me. The package came within 10 miles of my house, it's now back to Washington DC so that it can come back to the same distribution center before I get it. This isn't the first time this has happened. USPS, while sometimes is the best method due to price, is lacking in getting packages to customers on time. This is just COVID issues or holiday issues, this has happened over the years at different times of the year.

I ship USPS Priority all the time and haven't noticed many delays. Maybe a day here or there. What method are you guys using? Parcel Post costs just as much as Priority and sucks. I'm getting my USPS Priority packages from Trenier in 2-3 days to CT.

BTW - If I post anything up for sale it'll be shipping USPS Priority.

Same experience here! Been taking maybe an extra day which ain't to bad considering all the factors. But be nice if the lowered the shipping cost to reflect the down grade in service 🙄 🤣..probably not gonna happen.

USPS has been loosing checks, bills and parts lately in my case. Some lost part replacements have been lost too.

Man, that sucks! Is your mailbox out on the street or do you have a PO box? Since the casino opened several years back we've had all kinds of mail theft along our highway. The punks will follow the mail truck and clean out the mailboxes looking for any info they can sell to criminals who hang out at the casino. We finally got a locking mailbox and told the post office to hold for pick up anything that won't fit in our mailbox. I sometimes run outgoing mail with checks directly to the post office-so convenient!

The pellets that I ordered Are a week late and they’re coming from within my state.Priority mail also. It seems like USPS Is so overwhelmed that they’re panicking. I’ve had packages that weren’t scanned then some packages that were scanned too many times. It said in the tracking that it arrived at the facility, then left is facility, then it arrived at the facility again. The tracking keeps saying that over and over. This is at the same place.

I received a package through USPS yesterday in AR that was sent from coastal NC on Friday. That seems plenty quick to me. I've had multiple FedEx "hold at location" requests go unheeded with packages left on the porch. UPS generally has done a better job but twice recently the driver arrived for a delivery and couldn't locate the package on the truck. In the first case he obviously found it shortly after leaving since it was sitting on my porch a few hours later. In the second case I looked in the truck and watched him look for a package while I could see the package with OpticsPlanet printed on it sitting on the shelf. He noted "that's not where it should have been". Problems occcur everywhere but in my area USPS has been about as reliable as any other shipper.
