USO TS-12 X - Question

I'm looking at the big you know what planet dot com. Specs says illumination: LED, Red. I went onto USO and it says Non-Lit.

I'm interested in the MHR but when it comes to FFP, I need illumination because I've had issues not seeing reticle in low light or low power. Anyone know?

Edit I corrected the incorrect 12 it's not illuminated as he first told me.

Too bad, this would be the perfect optic if it was illuminated. I don't care much for FFP too

Buy the Discovery Optics HD illuminated version then only thing it only got a 3 year warranty.

Heck buy the 5 year Warranty Vector Veyron SFP version then easy to see the reticle I own both Veyron FFP and SFP. 

The FFP is really hard to see like the USO version.

Go PM qball ask him about the EBay Barras for dirt cheap the H30 series he will tell you about them. He sold his Vector Veyron afutllter buying the Barras.

Only thing dirt cheap with ZERO WARRANTY no matter what you read.

Also no matter what qball says offer the seller 20% less than what qball tells you to offer.

Qball REALLY likes 2 to pay more $$$ for his scopes and guns than everyone else though.

are you trying to hold over at those low magnifications? = (A)

Or it the issue of not seeing the cross hairs intersection? = (B)



If (B):

For FFP scopes I try to make sure that the reticle has thick outside posts. These will guide your eyes easily to the intersection. This works for me — with eyes that aren't the newest model anymore.  

Both the Discovery HD and the VT-3 model of the 3-12x44 have those posts. And the HD has IR, as Odoyle already pointed out.

That's obviously your preference.

➔ I find that the times I need a low magnification my quarry is close enough that it is well within my point blank range, so holdover isn't really required, just center the crosshairs on that head and poooof!!
