May be worth exploring modding them for much lower profile. I can imagine filing them down in 2 places. Likely have to tap 2 alternative holes situated much lower as well. Mods should be rather easy with a grinder or a file since they are likely made out of aluminum.

Check these out ODoyle. I bought them for my wife’s Air Arms while we were waiting for her good rings. They adjust with a super smooth wheel that is easier to adjust than other rings, lock in place with two grub screws once adjusted, are well made, look good and hold tight. $12 per ring for a total of $24 for well made, adjustable rings. Pretty darn good! We like them so we left them on her gun. 

NcStar Adjustable scope rings, sold each, so you need to buy two...But still only $24 on Amazon. They are not Eagle Vision quality but they do hold and are easy to adjust. For $24, they’re hard to beat.

Be 100% sure the mount adapters and rings are all able to adjust for downward angle pitch from front to rear in addition to height to avoid possible scope tube damage.

Check it with scope allignment tool b4 tightening the scope rings and lap them whenever necessary.

I’m done, I mounted them last week and there was no torque at all, it’s only like a 1/16”. I always use an alignment tool and almost never have to lap rings. Mounted lots and lots of scopes over the years. Never damaged one yet.
