Hi
THOS IS NOT A FEEDBACK FYI... FEEDBACK TO COME AFTER THINGS ARE RESOLVED.

Bought a combo deal ready to shoot 25 FX Impact with advertised 24x Hawke scope and picture looked like Sidewinder 30 series. I already own couple Impacts and my first 25 Impact leaks and am simply just too lazy to take it apart and fix it so I just bought a used one that does not leak justifying the purchase with the included Hawke Sidewinder 30 24x scope and fact of the matter is the 24x scope made me go for it since I just recently bought a SW30 24x and it's real clear. Done deal I pay shipping and insurance in addition to asking price.

Gun arrives and to my surprise that Hawke is not a 24x but only a 20x. Houston we have a problem! The 20x is no good for me since I had planned to use it for 100 yard and beyond target shooting and want to be able to see holes on paper at long range. Seller can't believe it's only a 20x I take a picture send it to him he says he's not a bad guy intentionally screwing me over or misrepresent his ad which he did (non-deliberately?). I ask him to just trade it for a 24x SW30 no problem. He stated he doesn't have any 24x scope but want to fix things make it right. Told him the 24x24x scope he advertised with the gun was the main reason I bought the gun aside from being too lazy to fix my first one. Actually i would not have bought it if I knew it was a 20x since I have lots of 20x scopes I posted up for trade due to not enough magnification wanting 24x versions instead. Asked seller give mec2 days to think of something. Next day I SHOOT that Impact and shot the included tins of Jabs that came with that deal and noticed that Hawke was defective and pretty blurry at 20x. Backed it down to 10x and 12x seemed fine but definitely a scope issue here. I have 3 of these scopes and they are crystal clear so I know for sure this one had a problem. Noticed a $399 Hawke Frontier 5-30x on the classifieds reposted didn't sell last time contacted seller explained the situation and asked what was that minimum focus he said 30 yards. Most AIRGUNNERS won't want to buy a SFP and 30 yard minimum focus right? That's why he had to relist this again.

Contacted seller even more bad news this scope is definitely defective he asked if he could swap for a Vantage 24x I said that's not a good scope $259 retail vs $489.99 SW30 20x that was included with the gun. I won't be able to distinguish holes in targets 100+ yards with that 25x Vantage asked him consider that $399 used Frontier cheaper than a new $499.50 24x SW30 that was supposed to come with this Impact. Told him he needs to warranty the 20x for sure then resell it a once he's probably going tobgrt a brand new scope. I was simply wanting a decent 24x most importantly.

Seller mentioned I could just send all back for a refund but he didn't seem to factor in my paying shipping back plus insurance. Told him he is going to lose out round trip reimbursement he hadn't replied back yet.

Thoughts questions comments?

Were you looking through the correct end of the scope? lol JK

Damn Yo, you are a very very active airgunner.!! I would probably return it and buy a oring kit (2 beers+ 20mins)....I don't buy airguns bundled with scopes (unless free) for reasons close to this. Then again I wouldn't replace a leaking 25 Impact with a non leaking one, I'd just fix the leaking gun, what happens when the "new" 25 leaks also? They aren't terribly hard to fix in the first place.

In what world is it better/more convenient to buy a new Impact (only for caliber) than to fix the old one OR buy a new probe/barrel kit for the multiple other Impacts you own?

YO's WORLD, THATS WHERE!

Would've been way cheaper to have bought a new 24x scope online and then try to fix the leak yourself. But I do understand why you would rather buy another impact then work on one. I recently fixed a slow leak in a streamline that took me a month. You could've sent the impact in to a tuner and have that person fix the leak and would hopefully have a warranty. Either of these cases would've been way cheaper then to buy another used gun that could have problems.

In your situation, if you really hate that scope, I would ask the seller to pay for shipping since you paid first. If the buyer doesnt agree, then just give him a bad review and move on. You could sell the scope to purchase the one you want.

WHY DO YOU THINK I HAVE SO MANY FX IMPACTS? Yo!
