Used CF 480CC Bottle

The seller accepted the return. It took a while to get the return shipping label from the seller but I did ship it back. However, now he is trying to blame me for the damage on the carbon fiber bottle and how I took off the rubberized heat shrink caused the damage. Good thing for historical search. I found this. Looks exactly like the scratch from my picture. (Pre-Context, before the purchase the seller did say this bottle came off his MKII which perfectly aligns things).

I started reading this thread thinking, things happen, the seller will make it good. It's pretty obvious that it didn't happen during shipping. But, you've got to be kidding me! I would oust that person as well and not feel bad about it. Why was he even selling a damaged CF bottle to begin with? That could have turned into a huge liability with past pictures for proof. I don't get it. If you don't want to call him out, I get it (not really...) but as Ries said, at least leave negative feedback.

I agree with all the comments above - that is full-on dirtbag behavior there . . . .

I can understand somebody trying to pass off a mistake they made (but not condone it), but I can't understand somebody doing that after openly sharing the situation on the internet - then it's time to just eat the loss . . .

Personally, after finding what you found, I'd call him out right here in this post and let the chips fall where they may . . . it does not appear to be in violation of any forum rule (at least in my reading of them, if done civilly).
