I don't know if this is any good, but with a 50% off coupon and free returns I thought it was worth checking out. Lowest entry cost for a 256x192 sensor. However clunky to use compared to self contain units, but they cost 4x more!

I agree, my hopes aren't high, but it worth a try given Amazon's return policy. I hope to be able to pick up rats at least to 40 yards. If not it doesn't work for me. I should get it Sunday and will find out soon.
I've brought some high end spark plugs for a great price on Amazon but was also aware that some seller were selling fakes. I compared what I got under a 3d microscope to a known good ones. The tip design was vastly different. The plugs were returned for a full refund. Buyer "AWAYS BEWARE."
