It's pouring rain. I already got an error on my chrony when I tried to use it when it was cloudy out. 

I sold a gun that I need to Chrony TODAY. (Hatsan VECTIS)

Question: If I throw up some florescent tube lights long ways above my chrony. Will it work indoors? I have lots of long florescent lights from office removal jobs I have done...nice ones!

No, fluorescent lights flicker. You'll need to turn off all the fluorescent lights in the area, and light the chrono with incandescent bulbs. Generally these machines require a lot of light to operate well. On Amazon there are kits specifically for this purpose.

you need to go get some led camping lamps ( the ones with a magnet on the back will work) and either get a bit of steel or another earth magnet and put that on top and the torch facing down underneath to the sensor... Voila indoor or night time chrono for about 10 bucks.

these cheap led lights work I got mine at harbor freight for free with their giveaway coupon the magnet is built into the back side just put a big iron washer on top of the shade to hold it up.

The absolute best thing that you could do - which is guaranteed to work and the work best 
would be to go with 'inferred' lighting, That's the type of light best suited for the sensors..

It is outside of our visible spectrum - so in other words, our eyes can't see it, but, 
it works great for things like this..

Think of night vision + IR lights.. We don't see the brightness with our eyes, 
but when viewed through the camera/monitor, more IR light = brighter image..

I have first hand experience, as I used to dabble in low light / no light photo and video.

The same sort of concepts apply.

Hey, This worked beautifully with 2 sets of LED lights. (Chrono Testing at 3 AM) 

The Pellet Trap was kind of messy and the Vectis eventually shot a hole through it.
