Uragan with Huma Reg?

I've just placed an order for a Huma reg for my Uragan (really I just wanted it for the additional plenum volume). Is anyone here using one and if so what are the settings you used (stock pressure, porting mods, HST adjustment, etc.)? I'm not 100% on my goals for the rifle. There doesn't seem to be a ton of information on the web so I'm trying to put together a baseline I should try.

Also how long does it normally take to receive directly from Huma? I'm on the east coast of the United States and don't really know what to expect in terms of lead times and tracking through customs.

Took me 2 weeks to get mine to California. You will probably be at least a few days less than that. Mines installed, just need to test and tune.

Looking forward to see what results you guys get with the Huma in the Uragan. I don't have a Uragan, but it is a gun I have been interested in.

AirgunnerPCP, Where do you live on the East Coast? I am in Baltiomore County MD.

For sure I plan to run it through it's paces when it arrives. The Uragan has a large air capacity though so degassing and refilling takes a good bit of my air supply!

I'm further south in South Carolina on the border with North Carolina.

Mines the compact so not so bad to degas and I have a compressor. I’ll try and get some numbers tomorrow. I shot a few today and maxed out at 895 with hades 15.89 adjusting the hst before it started to drop. Reg is set at 135 but not sure if you can trust the marks on the reg as it’s just a sticker. I shot until FPS dropped and it got down to 110bar. Not sure if the gauge is off or reg is off. Might try and install a wiki gauge if it will fit. Bigger diameter so not sure. More tomorrow

AirgunnerPCP Oh, okay. Yeah, 530cc is a lot to degas and have to re-fill. I just got into PCP and bought a RTI Priest II in.22 and was thinking about either a a Uragan or a Veteran in .25 as my next gun. But I am still hand pumping, so a compressor and tank may be my next investment...

the bottom compact has huma regulator installed and I see way better shot count out of bottom rig and less fps spread in over all shot string

Just got confirmation from the manufacturer that 105 Bar is the factory setting for the non-compact .22 gun.

Let us know what you find regarding the wiki gauge. Might be a nice upgrade but personally I think the non-compact .22 has so much air on board that I never really look at the gauge anyway during a shooting session! I only shoot maybe 100ish shots then take a break and top off.

I handpumped my Uragan for about a month before I got a tank and it wasn't terrible. I'd shoot 3-5 mags then take a break and pump it 50 bar or so. Mines a .22 though.

Just ordered one for my .30 as seem to be having a slight problem with reg creep. I’m planning to put some slugs through it once it arrives. Will let you know how I get on

Definitely let us know how it turns out. I've gotten the itch for a new rifle and an Uragan in .30 would be interesting. Don't really have a use for such a large caliber but hey it'd be fun!

Just curious how this is going. I have a .22 compact with the Huma reg installed. Currently set to 110bar and pushing Hades right at 900fps. I would really like to shoot slugs out of it, but don't know if the fps will be there to stabilize. I may try turning up the regulator.

I would try the NSA 17.5gr slugs out of it. Had great luck out of my standard with them. But do know your asking alot of the compact shooting slugs at higher speeds

The Uragan comes with a pretty good regulator, not sure you need the Huma, I bought one but swopped back to the original one, and my gun shoots lights out.

I never got to test that with the Huma, the velocity was all over the place and POI shifts galore. The Huma could have been faulty? I gave up after a week of frustrating myself no end ended up going back to the original reg and as mentioned, it shoots the best of all my rifles now, and that includes a Redwolf and Crown.

Me either, no real use for a .30, but that did not stop me. I am intrigued at night hunting for Coyotes/wild boar with a thermal, though.
