Uragan vs Cricket

Okay...let's get real here. Who wins this battle? I say give it to the king. Also, Kalibrgun nearly went out of business in the recent past. I was surprised they came back on production and did so during Covid...good for them. Still, the king wins. I don't have either but have shot both and am leaning towards the Uragan for many reasons. What say you?

I say wait and compare the Vixon with the Cricket, Or maybe the Uragon standard compared to the Cricket, The king with its two bottles is just over kill on shot count, I know the King is offered in 177 and I am sure the shot count is like 300 or so at full power, Now the guys over the big pond in the UK with there lower power I am sure the KING shot count is like 900 to 1795 or fill up once a year if you need it or not, LOL.

Can’t compare the King, but I have owned two Uragans and two Crickets (albeit not the new version 2).

I would give it to the Uragan. I personally like both I owned better than either Cricket. Part of it was looks, of which I preferred the synthetic. The massive shot count difference is one thing, and the old rear cocking was another (again fixed with version 2). They all shot well, so not so much there being a lot of difference.

Even Charlie, when the Uragan came out, said that was his new go to.

Aloha,

I have both the Uragan std. and Cricket PT in .25 from Charlie (Georgia Airguns). Both guns were tuned by Charlie for my needs. If I had to choose just 1 gun it would be the Uragan, the gun has a higher shot count, easier to load the magazine, and the cocking lever is easier for follow up shots. My cricket does have the donnyfl plate to make loading the magazine easier but putting the magazine in the Uragan is much easier. As for the accuracy both guns are accurate with Charlies work on the barrels.

Aloha,

I own both. Nod goes to the Uragan. Especially now, since AGT now has Mr. Wall heading up their USA Service Center!

This is exactly the reason I regret not getting the Uragan king over the last one I bought. Mr. Wall is a good guy, he helped me tune my wife’s Uragan compact. Agt picked a good person to represent them over here.

I don't own either, although I did recently purchased a Vulcan II off classifieds. I was actually planning to buy a new Vulcan II over the Uragan because that long tank just doesn't appeal to me. However, I would definitely choose a Uragan over a Cricket, if for no other reason than the rear cocking. Change that Criicket to a Cricket II, totally different story, Cricket II all the way for me. The shot count on the Uragan is definitely a plus, but to me that huge tank is really out of place.
