Tuning Uragan. 30 shoots all over the place

SO! I just got this Uragan off another agn member. It is a Black Uragan 30cal with Huma reg . They took the should off and but a carbon fiber sleeblve on it. Oh!!!!! And it shoots JSB Hades @ 940 fps threw the crono.

So let me get to . Well I was so anxious to get this thing. I heard great things. And I watch all sorts of videos on how it stacked up against my impact 30cal. Well the first day by the the time I got home it was dark so I ran to the basement with the chronograph, loaded a mag and shot threw the chronograph. And woooowooo! 940fps. Yaa!! Ya! This thing is hot as I jump in celebration.

So!!!! Yesterday I go mount a swfa SS scope and sight it in for 0 @ 50 yards. This thing shot ALL OVER THE PLACE. I'm talking like sometime 4-8 inches sometimes in any direction. The only way I could get a tight group is if I rapid shot it and I would get like a 2inch groups. Ummm friken HORRIBLE!!! And then if I put a fx hybrid slug threw it ,the shot would literally drop hitting dirt 15feet infront of the target. This is no exaggeration.

I know these can be tuned and I watch so videos. But NO ONE has had this issue.

SO AGN FRIENDS!!! Anyone have a clue what can get this thing to shoot good??

And or who would u recommend that can repair or tune it hot and accurately and are quick so I'm not waiting for my rifle for 6 months

Did the previous owner tell you what ammo it was tuned for? Also, you mentioned that there's no shroud on it and a carbon fiber sleeve was placed over the barrel. Did it come with an aftermarket moderator or are you using your own? There's a possibility it's clipping causing your point of impact to be all over the place. In regards to warranty/service & repair, send a private message to zx10wall (Derrick Wall) here on AGN. He's the authorized warranty/service for AGT. Hope you get it sorted out.

I believe from what the guy said is that tje shroud was removed and carbon fiber er sleve was installed as pictured. This is the gun. Not the scope that's is on it. It's a swfa ss. This was a photo from to guy a purchased from

Like the others have already said, when you take off the shroud and use carbon fiber sleeves, sometimes they don’t center properly causing clipping, while tension on the barrel can cause crazy inaccuracy, too. Take it off and just shoot the air gun with no shroud or moderator. You’ll know instantly if that was the issue. Then you can decide what shroud or carbon tube/moderator you want to use.

If that doesn’t work for you…Send it to Derrick (zx10wall)

He is the Eastern European air gun master. If AGT trusts him as a technician, tuner, etc. you should too. He can find and solve your problem, look over the air gun and tune it for your intended projectile. It will be money well spent, guaranteed!

Good luck, I hope you figure it out. I’m sure it’s something simple.

So when i got home i took of the moderator and opened it up. Pellet were hitting the inside of the moderator. So i then went outside ,minded a taget @ 50 yard and waalaaah ... shot group was tight. I then looked at the carbon fiber sleeve and it apears it was not cut perfectly. I cleaned out the moderator and tomorrow im going to fire it with just the moderator on it. If it groups nice i will bring the carbon sleeve and riflebto work and put it in the lathe and cut it properly. It also seems that the sleeve gets tensioned before the moderator is screwed all the way down.

Update!!! So....

Well I talked with Derek and he was kind enough to let me pick his ear for a few.

So I ended up taking off the moderator and carbon fiber sleeve and it shot with a decent group. So then I discovered in fact the pellets were smacking the inside of the moderator. So I then screwed on the moderator and measured from the body to the moderator. Then I measured the carbon fiber sleeve. The carbon fiber sleeve was a out 3/16th to long. So when u tightened down the moderator it would twist it as it was not able to fully thread on. I cut down the carbon sleeve on my lathe.I Reassembled and I got a pretty good 9 shot group.

Problem SOVLED. THANK GOODNESS
