Airgun Technologies Uragan 3 coming....

Could you give us any info on yours?
It is .177, 16.5J, arrived just few days ago and I haven’t got a chance to test it properly. I zeroed it and shoots very accurately. Ive set the regulator a bit higher just to achieve under 17J and that’s it. It is pretty consistent for a new rifle.
materials used are of high quality, no savings there. The crown on a barrel looks great, trigger is set how I like, walnut stock looks much better in reality, small gauge is a joke - too small for my eyes:) but it fulfills its purpose.
In my opinion it’s worth the money (for now, time will tell)

This sounds like it's probably the same issue as the U2 had, at least in the 0.22 700mm that first came to South Africa - the transition to rifling was abruptand square/90degrees. Caused shearing and piling up of lead at the transition on loading, made worse by longer slugs. Probably also exacerbated by the 700 U2's poly barrel profile and it's broader 'lands' vs the normal rifling on the rest of their lineup.
Smoothing that transition to a gentle ramp in 3 uragan 2's, resulted in what is still the most transformative barrel performance improvement I've ever seen.
So creating a lead made loading smoother and decreased the amount of fouling?

Hi guys have been reading these posts with interest. This is my 1st post, I have just purchased a U3 600mm 177 synthetic...... from VA .... not used it yet I am under strict instructions not to use it yet.....as its a Birthday present.....doh... As soon as I start using it I will let you know how I get on. Incidentally VA were telling me that U2's should not be used under 100bar.....as the excellent balanced reg can become unstable. VA also stated the U3 was better in this regard and could be used to around 80bar. On handling the gun what did strike me was the weight....omg.... Good posts guys....
