Uragan 2 mag compressing lead

Has anyone encountered this before? I had this initially happen with VK slugs a few weeks back and we chucked it up to the slugs having been potentially damaged in transit. This morning I go to shoot and the slugs are all over the place at 200yds. I mean some landing at 200yds but 5-7 feet off, some around the 190yd mark or closer. When I go to check the ammo (25gr HN Hp2) they look like this while the ammo I just put in the mag looks normal. It hasnt been anything over 78 degrees in the last 2 weeks aside from last night. But I dont know why the magazine would flatten or press the slugs.

Is it possible that the recoil of the rifle is causing this? If you can load several then unload them and they look fine, it would seem that it happens while shooting.

I like this idea ^^. Is this your long or short Uragan? It may be cranked up too much and alug play in the mag could do it. Soft lead problems, great expansion could lead to this as well. May need to single load if this is the size and make of slug you want to use.
I don't know, I never had this problem with the Vulcan 3. And that was set up at 78fpe, this .22 is at a mild 48fpe. No recoil to be had in my experience. Also to note i am using HN hp2 slugs. It's the 700mm btw

Load a mag and violenlty shake it up and down a few times and inspect. 🤷
I would load and then unload first just to establish if it’s the mag for some reason.

Then try the shake test.

Y'all were right 😒 I wonder why it's only happened these two times on wildly separate occasions

Was the mag loaded prior to traveling? Or does it happen in the gun?

The thin leading edge seems like what exaggerates it. You probably don’t have that issue with projectiles with a thicker edge or a solid nose.

Dave
It's only been noticed when picking up the magazine from the passenger seat. Maybe the slugs are bouncing inside the magazine.Ever so slightly as i'm driving the cause them to be pressed? Cause again there's little to no recoil when I shoot the gun and this doesn't happen on a regular occasion.

I thought that at first, but given that I've unloaded these magazines before.I've never seen it being caused by that. But shaking it definitely replicated the issue
