Uragan .177 compact with slugs?

The NSA 12.5gr. shoot quite well out of my 17fpe HW100BP-K. Wind is also the reason I tried them. Over 90% of my shooting is at 48 yards and the wind this fall has been relentless. I went through all 400 of them in 2 weeks. The 15gr. I didn't have much luck with past 30 yards.

I was only able to recover one from a squirrel, the other 4 were pass throughs at 25 yards.

edit: with NSA's new $5 sample packs, they're definitely worth a try.

@Bander124 I don't know if the Uragan compact will have enough "horsepower" to push the slugs.

If I remember correctly, out of the box the Uragan compact only pushed pellets up to around 14 to 15 ft/lbs. I remember the specs when I was looking for a Compact Czech made rifle, I liked the Uragan, but I didn't go with it because of the low ft/lbs rating. I tried some NSA 15 (?) gr .177 in my Brocock Compatto Sniper XR, which puts out to 18/19 ft./lbs wtin JSB Hades and the NSA slugs didn't go above 700 fps if I remember correctly, thus making it not worth shooting the slugs. But I see NSA now has 12.5 gr. slugs in .177 so who knows maybe those will work in your Uragan.

I found the 12.5 gn NSA slugs work well in less powerful airguns. I have a Hatsan AT44 and run them at just under 900 FPS (22FPE) and they work great. Just today I was able to hit a 6 inch round steel plate at 250 meters. It only took me 4 shots to do it. The wind was down, only about 2-4 MPH

Just out of curiosity I have also tried them in my Hatsan Air-Tact break-barrel. The velocity was pretty slow about 580 FPS (9 FPE) if I remember correctly, but they grouped just fine. I think 50 yards might be the limit for the break-barrel but it was interesting to test out. I normally shoot a 7.5 gn pellet in the break-barrel and get just over 900 FPS.
