UPS refund

I ordered something a while back and by the time they sent it, Netherlands, there was a tariff.. Well it was over $600 and I paid it.
Today I got a large refund in the mail that I didn't expect from UPS themselves. This has to mean the mistake was actually on their part not the Govt,

I'm posting this because I had done my own math and it just didn't add up.
So for other ordering from Europe anyway, if it doesn't look right let them know because if I had, It likely would have been resolved more quickly.. Also the person I spoke to was just a placation employee that only gives the same information you see online but I know actual people in the know do work there if you can reach them.

In my 'Krale and UPS Import Tariff??' thread, UPS said via email my $860 tariff on the $537 Snowpeak P35X was valid and obligated to pay.

They also told me if I refused delivery, I would not be liable for that tariff. I refused delivery yesterday, and gun is heading back to Krale. Not quite sure what will happen next.... hopefully only a restocking fee.

We need a trustworthy place that we don't have tarrifs on to ship stuff to and then rebox and ship to us.

I mean the government doesn’t make mistakes they just roll something out in a confusing ever changing way that no company could ever keep up with. I won’t order anything that isn’t shipping from within the U.S. for now.

I think that is smart. I in the past ordered a couple of airrifles from Krale, but given the current circumstances, will not do so. I still might make a small ebay purchase, like some of the Anschutz sights I have ordered in the past, but really do not need anything presently.

Feel sorry for the guys starting out, can't imagine navigating around tariffs trying to get established in the hobby. WM

Didn't feel so lucky starting out in midst of serious pellet shortage, a few years back, but feel darn lucky got established before all of this. WM

I’ve been thinking of a new air gun since I only have 2. I’m imagining prices of most of the foreign made guns will go up at our USA suppliers run out of existing stock.
A good reason to buy a new aigun , just not sure which one.
