I just placed orders to upgrade both my .177 and .22 to marauder triggers. I have done a couple Disco's with Mrod triggers and they were awesome!! Also gonna add a second barrel band on both.
Thanks AJ !"ajshoots"The Maximus uses only 2 valve retention screws like the co2 guns. With a Maximus tube and valve, you are relegated to 2000psi only. Anything above that is outside the safety threshold of the design.
As I posted in another post, it has been said by a reputable Crosman/Benjamin custom builder that the fill assembly is also not safe for more than 2000psi. It is not the same as used on the disco. (Until proven otherwise i will take the word of this builder. Once Crosman releases the parts diagram, we will know for sure.) You would need a disco tube, valve, and fill assembly to safely increase fill pressure on a Maximus.
I bought mine in part because of the lower fill pressure so I have no issue with the design changes to the Maximus versus the Discovery. If I had plans of building one for more power or higher fill pressures I definitely would have bought disco's instead.
I have a feeling that there are a number of people that bought the Maximus for its price with the intentions of hot rodding it only to be disappointed that it isn't safely possible. I hope no one pushes the Maximus to higher fills on a 2 valve screw design. Just not safe!!!
JonahIt is just wrong for anybodies' shop to look that neat and clean, lol!
