I have been dealing with regulator creep and slow response time on my FX Crown .25 since I purchased gun new on 12/27/17, I finally got tired of the issue and called FX USA, they confirmed that my Crown was covered under the new three year warranty. FX USA sent me a new regulator screw and piston, the screw has been redesigned, instead of coming to a point screw now has a dome on the end that contacts the piston.I received new screw and piston and installed both replacing all O rings again while I had apart.After about 200 shots I noticed the little creep the updated regulator still had is almost completely gone and the shot to shot recovery time is much faster than before. I shot a full magazine over Chronograph and the numbers did not vary more than 8 FPS. I then shot some groups at 35/50/85 yards and groups were some of the best since I bought Crown new. The only thing I noticed is my Regulator pressure gauge in fluctuating from 140 to 150 bar but the accuracy and velocity do not indicate any problem other than maybe a faulty gauge. I am thinking Crown will be even better once the screw and piston face seat in. I also ordered a new Huma and am thinking I will not need to install. FX is also coming out with a digital manometer later this year and I will definitely look into installing one on the Crown. So anyone having regulator creep issues with your Crown call FX USA and maybe your gun will be covered as well. FX said all guns manufactured after 10/17 are eligible for the 3 year warranty. Just give them the serial number.

BTW, even if the 10 bar difference on the gauge is real, having the hammer strike adjusted to the knee of the velocity curve will give a tight extreme spread.

The last shot string I ran on my crown 22 with factory gen 3 regulator had an extreme spread of 5 and standard deviation of 2.
This is why, despite some creep, I will stick with the factory regulator.

I have a generation 1 crown, and it did have some creep. I might had damaged the piston though, as I once did turn adjustment screw the wrong way, with pressure in it.
I bought a service kit, which turned out to be basically a new reg with the bigger washers, piston body, and all the O-rings. Even the reg did not fit my crown, the piston, and the new doomed tip adjustment screw, had the same dimensions as before. So after I changed the piston, and adjustment screw (seat) only, the creep was gone. So in my case the washers was not the reason for the creep in my gun, but maybe the old pointed seat, did not seal as good as the new doomed tip. The pressure do "creep" a few bars over night, but so do my wildcat with a huma reg, so I see it as normal. One or two dryfire on both guns gets them stable before the shooting session.

Service center recently fixed my regulator but did not say what they did. Can you tell if you have the amp regulator form the outside?

My Crown sat 24 hours and with new regulator parts i noticed very little creep and first shot was spot on at 35 yards. So looks like FX has found a solution to take care excessive creep. Not all regulated PCP's have a regulator gauge so it's hard to determine if reg is creeping unless you shoot. My Crown has 16mm piston and 8mm belleville washers.

The AMP regulators are able to be adjusted down without releasing pressure, but it is still recommended to fire at least 1 shot every 1/4 turn while adjusting down, to ensure nothing goes wrong.
