Update: Vulcan after JB Bore Paste: 50 yds

Went out to test at 50 yards today, 7mph wind left to right...variable. She’s these too groups. My Gen 1 Vulcan has always been a good shooter, very happy with tighter groups after the JB Bore Paste.

No doubt...I had the Vulcan for 3 or 4 years now....never a problem with it (knocking on wood). Few thousand pellets down range, accuracy holds true when I do my part. love this rifle!!

Is this lapping or something like it? What is the JB Bore Paste doing that made such an affect on accuracy? Your success makes me wonder if more airguns can benefit by this process.

I was introduced to JB boar paste, about 25 years ago, when I was shooting light varmint class benchrest centerfire. Everyone used it to clear their bore, and there is no group I’ve never met a more finicky bunch than the centerfire BR group. The guy who introduced it to me was a machinist, and held the world record for a rail gun at 200 yards.

It is a very mild cleaner That many believe mildly smooths your bore. I have used it on airguns, centerfires and rimfires. It always makes the bore foul less, And seems to generally improve accuracy. It also gets the bore absolutely clean.

I looked on Amazon but only found this: "J-B Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound". Is this the same stuff?

The bottom one. Put a dot of oil on your cleaning patch, add some paste and gently scrub bore using what is called short strokes
