Update to realistic fifty yard groups with the Red Wolf .22 H.P.

To All,

Thanks for all the great advice, I ended up cleaning the crap out of the barrel. I went back to the range today and after a few rounds to season the barrel I was shooting 30 grain AVS slugs at fifty yards and was able to get 1/2" groups. I then tried the red wolf .22 HP at medium and high power out to 100 yards and was able to get a 1.1" group with the AVS 30 grain slugs. I think with a little more practice that will even get tighter.

Shooting close to moa with 30g slugs is an outstanding turnaround! I have the same gun. Can you give some more details on the slugs your shooting and velocity your getting? I haven’t heard of the AVS slugs before.

On high power they were doing 945 fps and on medium 924 fps, The slugs are from Steve from air velocity sport he has a you tube channel where he covers a lot of PCP related content including info on his slugs which he sells on EBay. He is a bit of a perfectionist so his slugs are very consistent and shoot great from my Red Wolf.

I’ll take a look thanks. 945fps with a 30g slug is close enough to 60ftlb. That’s mighty for a .22 Keen to give some 30g slugs a go.

Have you tried them in your liberty? Steve's lighter slugs also work great in mine.
