My little project went well. Making a WC stock with integrated trigger guard. This cherry wood will be treated with Herdins (dark to rise the wood and grains), and get an oil treatment and polish. Must keep up my amateur skills.

Yes, will post the final result. And the grinder is used for knife handles yes. But ok for raw shaping a stock.

Certainly oil finish. The grinder is a 2x72, and made by a skilled person I know.

I was a professional woodworker for 35 years. Back in the old days, I used Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil on refinished gun stocks and guitar necks.

This last year I was introduced to Arm-R-Seal. Have you tried it by chance? Superior product, I can't say enough good stuff about it.

No, haven’t used that one mr H. 
now it’s Herdins and sanding over and over again. Soak in oil tomorrow I think. Benar, linolje and terpentin (So its called in Norwegian language)
