Update from my Bobcat .25 at 103 yards

Hy guys!

today I’ve tried to shot a 5 shot group at 103 yards.

the following pictures are showing only 4 shots cause the last shot was a miss, the Target was 1“ in diameter! so if we only look at the 4 shots, i thought it was worth showing it to you!

the tune of my Bobcat was now at around 835fps with the .25 King Heavy mk1 and reg was set to 143 bar.

it was shot from my pick up at prone position on bipod at front and rear on an DIY rice bag.

windage was slightly from right to left, gusting to 3kmh.

temp was at around 21*celsius.

I know it’s hard to believe without a video, next time i took the scope cam and try it again.

cheers Patrick!

Nice going Patrick!

My Bobcat .25 right now is tuned to throw the 25.4gr at about 923fps which I am guessing would be a little less or so for the heavies than what you are shooting (835fps) I did shoot the 25.4gr at a competition last month at I scored the best I ever have at 100yds. Very predictable drop and windage (for that day). I think the Bobcat .25 is a very good platform for 100yard shooting. I really like the trigger and post trigger pull action of the gun. Very little jump or movement when shooting from a bench. You have motivated me to start testing the 34gr heavies a little more.

I looked back at my records and I did actually test the 25.4gr vs the 33.9gr side by side. (This was before I tuned down to 923fps on the 25.4gr, mentioned above)

The bobcat Mk2 .25 was throwing the 25.4gr at 946.7fps with a Sd of 2.65fps, where it was throwing the 33.95gr at 826.3fps with a Sd of 3.87fps. (No changes to settings)

Without adjusting your regulator pressure, how much more room do you think you can adjust your speed upwards using only your HST adjustment?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks man!

And congrats on your score on competition!

If i shot the 25gr They wobble at around 920fps. I can only shoot the 25gr at around 900fps.

I can say it's absolutely worth testing the 34grain kings in my opinion. Yes the Bobcat is an fantastic gun, im so Happy with it!

With the HS u can get as Well as 835fps , but in the middle of the complete shot string There are shots at 860fps , so no good shot consistenc. So i turned up the regulator to around 143 bar and the shots are more consistent.

Youre welcome!
