Unscientific Redneck Expansion Testing

It has been cold, and I've been chomping at the bit to shoot a pellet or two. This was a simple test of expansion potential. No penetration testing, just expansion.

GUN: Stoeger X20S2 .177 ("Hoss")
MEDIUM: 14 oz.Plumbers Putty (room temp 68 degrees)

Pellets Tested:
H&N Barracuda Hunter 10.34gr
Notes- Expanded almost flat.

Skenco Ultrashock 9.57gr
Notes- inner shank separated from pellet outer ring. Was in 1 piece inside putty but separated for photo. Almost flat

Coal Fenix 450 9.57gr
Notes- This is a pointed pellet with dual gas rings.Very little expansion.Tallest pellet of all after hitting putty

H&N Hammer 7.87gr
Notes-it compressed but did not really expand. Third tallest after hitting the putty.

Crosman Hollow Point 7.9gr
Notes- Flattened out but did not expand much.

Crosman Pirahna 10.5gr
Notes- The tightest pellet in the barrel, had to press in more than others. Beautiful expansion petals on impact. Shank remained, classic mushroom on air rifle scale.
2nd tallest after hitting the putty

Crosman Destroyer 7.4gr
Notes- Looked like it turned inside out. On recovery it looks like it has a point on the end. Mushroom at bottom.

RWS Hobby 7.0gr
Notes-expaned as much as the Crosman hollow point but had some skirt(shank) left. Would kill something at this range without an issue.

Hope this was fun. Not meant to be scientific, just me having some fun!
