So I was watching a video on top 5 unreliable firearms and it got me wondering. What would be your top 5 most unreliable airguns?
Outside just piss poor mechanical design .... nearly any and all other issues are fixable IMO. Tho said, without the skill or tools etc to make the repair/s or fixes your still broken downMy Caiman, 3 P35s, Avenger, and Prod are all reliable. The Avenger arrived leaking and the Caiman had several issues when I got it (new). But after they were fixed no more issues. I wonder how many "unreliable" guns have fixable issues that are not understood.
I find that to be highly subjective based in the user. My least reliable air guns have been a benjamin trail np because the gas piston failed and my crosman cfam1 full auto m1 carbine. The reliability tends to correlate to the content of chinesium parts imho.So I was watching a video on top 5 unreliable firearms and it got me wondering. Pretty much. Many claims of "GOD AWFUL GUN" are in fact User error due to Misapplication, Misuse, or fixing what's not broken.Do research, buy a known quality anything, there are brands that are always top ranked.
Being here as long as I have I find there are more unreliable shooters than air guns![]()
I will second that.Every AEA i have owned was unreliable. Good for a couple weeks at a time, but never longer. Same with a couple others, but mostly magazine issues that were easily fixed.
The pump on mine hasn't failed yet, but it won't hold zero for some reason and that reason isn't the scope. That combined with the cheap ass build quality of it and the fact that it clips baffles with any moderator makes it one of my least favorite airguns.Seneca Aspen/Nova Freedom. Maybe it pumps up or maybe it needs to be disassembled and fixed, flip a coin.
I probably shouldn't say that in case I ever decide to sell it here...
