N/A Unexpected problem with Tactical Air Rifles

I never considered how cold an aluminum forearm/barrel shroud would be to grip.
Spent about 20 min waiting for a rat to show in winter weather with my hands in my pocket.
Rat makes an appearance and I shoulder the gun. OMG!

Wear a thin, insulated glove, or maybe mount a bipod to your gun. Lots of options… But definitely agree, to the bare hands those aluminum chassis’ are cold…

PS, Keep your eyes on the rats, both hands upon the gun… minimal movement and wear gloves in winter like your momma taught you.

Had the same problem with my Crosman Silhouette . I bought a length of insulating foam for pipes. It comes in different ID sizes & make sure you get the one with 2 way tape inside. Solved my problem & it was only a few dollars.

It's not my first winter, I understand the concepts of gloves, insulation, and heat transfer.
Just my first winter with a gun that doesn't have a wooden stock.
