Those black walnut husks are my main plinking targets. They approximate a squirrels head nicely and make a loud crack when hit solidly.

That's justification for a new high end gun, scope and pellets purchase right there! Wiring issues can cost $1000 or more. Just sayin'.Â

Warm up your trigger finger AND get some peppermint oil to put around your engine compartment. A mechanic friend of mine told me about it & it's worked to keep the critters away from my wiring!

I string out a 12’ led rope light and park over it. Uses very little power, they hate the light. After hundreds of dollars damage this has worked best.

Never trust a squirrel. I’ve had so much damage done by squirrels in past. Now I shoot first ask questions later. They keep coming. 2 grey and 2 black have been snooping around with caution lately. They will be back for lead lunch. Don’t like squirrels! CrowÂ

Will be baiting today and I'll report back with results and pics.
There are two black walnut trees in my yard and pretty sure the culprit(s) are red squirrels.
Over the years I have enjoyed watching the little reds defend "their" trees from the larger greys, foxes and blacks.
They truly are the boss and don't have an ounce of fear in them.
Caught one by mistake when I was trapping chippers last summer. Oh boy was he mad.
Lashing at me through the wires of the cage. Ready to fight to the death.
I released him as he was not what I was after.
BUT...
Now that he/they are focusing on my vehicle, I am forced to turn my own focus.
