Like many other members mentioned here, there is a alignment issue on the Umerax Gauntlet bottle cover. This is my first PCP, still haven't a chance to shoot it yet. I did noticed my Gauntlet .22 has the same bottle cover issue, it almost touches the barrel shroud. So I did a deeper investigation. Here is how I fixed it and I like to share it with you.
=> the root cause for the misalignment is the sling stud hole is not align with the metal piece on the bottle cover. When you tighten down the stud, it push the cover back out as little; thus, push the cover toward the barrel shroud. I was thinking of re-drill and tap a new hole, but there is not enough room. The solution is to enlarge the plastic hole so the stud can align the metal piece a little better. Furthermore, the plastic hole is too small anyway, and the stud thread is eating into the plastic as it is. I also bend the metal piece little, trimmed and smooth the plastic cover edge little so it can easier insert into the gun.
