Any other Origin owners out there? I'm considering switching over to slugs and I'm wondering what it likes and what hammer spring settings to use to get the most from the ammo

Mine shot really well at 30 fpe using 18gr jsb. My concern with bringing the power up is putting extra strain on the cocking components. In my opinion the Origin isn't the best choice for shooting slugs, I'd rather have a more conservative shot count and longevity of components. That side lever is plastic and will break over time, especially with more tension on it. The jsb redesign work well if you want to try a heavier pellet .

Good point. Didn't think about the stress it might cause. I'll have to do some more experimenting.

I shot some FX Hybrid hollow point 21 grain and they shot fine at 25 yrd targets. Hammer spring out two full turns. Pressire at about 2700 psi when I shot a mag full.

Thanks, mine shoots them well at most hammer spring settings. My tests on clay show you need higher speeds to get the proper mushrooming.
