Tuning Umarex Notos has arrived.

I have the gauge block on mine. It doubles as a plenum but I don't think it's as big as the plenum in the ebay kit listed above.
Today I messed around with various hammer springs.
I used a shorter one, a long one, and then I cut the long one down a bit and tried that. (I didn't measure them, sorry).
With CPHP 14.3gr I saw as low as 600fps and as high as 870fps.
600fps was super quiet and at 11.43fpe would be great for pesting in a barn, not what I'm after right now.
The 870fps is 24fpe! It was a total shocker but it also produced a grinding sensation when cocking that didn't feel right so I pulled that spring. I tried filing the cut ends of the spring smooth but that didn't help. Maybe I need to give it more love and some lube.
I think I was just approaching the limit of the cocking mechanisms strength. I'm not sure, any opinions on what caused that would be appreciated. I reverted back to the original spring.
My next step will be hitting the drill press and letting it breathe a little better.
I know it's baby steps in the world of mods compared to some but I think the Notos is a good platform for me to try stuff with.
In a previous life I never would have taken a perfectly functioning tool apart. Now I can't get enough.
I'm having fun with this thing!

That plenum kit looks very interesting, do you have any concerns about it's integrity to hold 3600psi?

nope, the machining is superb. thick walls, no wiggle, no burrs, just nice smooth snug fitting long threads. i can post images of dimensions with caliper measurements when i get a chance to empty the air out.

i did shipboard firefighting and i’ve seen a scuba tank explode while refilling take out 1/3 of my buddys calf. i fear nothing.. except faulty HPA equipment, high amperage, deep waters, idiots with guns, and failing as a father.

Froggy's Airguns is now making Drop blocks for a direct fit for a reged bottle , I have his drop blocks on several airguns 2 Chaser's and a 2240. Rob makes good stuff that works as it should, I'll post more after it gets here next week. I think I'll be able to use the dropblock with the plenum from ebay.

How does the balance of that feel now? Would assume by the bottle being almost to the muzzle it would be front heavy. But maybe your big scope brings the balance point back.

Bet you can crank that thing to 25 FPE and still get 100+ shots haha

the bottle is lighter than the stk cylinder so it does balance fairly well and as you can see its shorter than the moderator even with all the plenum drop block and adjustable regulator I could lose another inch I used a fixed regulator.

What air tank, regulator, and dropblock are you using? Asking since I'm thinking of doing that modification in the future.

What's your shot count now? Velocity?

One other question for you, what is the output PSI on the regulator your using?

It's an adjustable that I have set at about 2000 psi

Boy this is a funky way of doing it. Those o-rings are so thin!

PLEASE NOTE: the barrel is not keyed in any way and the set scew is full of locktite. Mark for ease of reassembly and use heat as necessary for removal to prevent rounding of set screw.

What does the end of the barrel that goes into to the receiver look like (i.e. as if looking through the barrel? Is there a seat for the breach/probe o-ring, is it flat, or something else?

If anyone can share a pic that would be awesome too.

Funny, I saw a few leak out through the CF but never fail rapidly. CVN-71, CVN-72, CVN-73 and CVN-69, Gulf War Vet.
