did you just use the lathe to hold the tube or do you have a way to actually hold the tap in the tailstock?

I am Dutch. But I do not make changes in airtube's for other people. If ever something go's wrong. I will not have been part of it.
so I suppose since you are Dutch you probably live there and shipping would be a pain.. I understand not doing anything for others air tube for liability.. just wishing you were closer and I could just take it to you and you could do the thread and well hand you a $100 and say that you never saw it or touched it.
but I also understand liability as I wouldn't cut apart and fix and repair my neighbors rollbar on his tractor that he rolled.. however I volunteered to bolt on a new one.. but cutting and repairing it would have been easy but the liability if he rolled it again and got killed or injured.. I really don't like modern society.. people have to blame someone, even if it is their own fault.. I guess there's no such thing as a accident anymore.. it's someone's fault.. good old days a handshake was as good as money in the bank and people took responsibility for their actions and a accident was no one's fault.. air tube explosion well must have overpressure it or something like a defect.. not purposely made to hurt someone.. I saw a YouTube video where someone was disassembly a airgun fully pressurized and he had a valve in his leg, almost all the way through and another part stuck in the ceiling.. I guess common sense has also went to the dogs 🤣🤣
well it's very nice talking to others, especially from other countries.. places I will never see.. and wonderful people I will never get to meet.. yes I'm white but born in Japan.. so I'm just a import🤣🤣
was talking to a guy here in the forum who is in paru.. was very nice talking to him about other countries and how life is there.. unfortunately he went away or something because I have seen him listed as on the forum but no response.. was very nice talking to.. and I want to especially thank you for sharing what you have done with yours.. it not like what can just go buy it.. to my knowledge the attaman ap16 compact was the only compact PCP pistol.. I have seen there's new ones out but on top of the high prices they are new and it's nice to see how they do after some use and time..

can't really tell from the picture but it appears that you have a chuck in the tailstock.. and chucked the tap.. how big is your chuck? or how big is the tap shank.. I'm thinking mine is a 1/2 chuck.. but I possibly have a 5/8 on the other tailstock.. I should post a picture of my custom tail stock.. it's got a handle instead of the crank for production drilling.. homemade..

I can put a diameter of 20MM in it. I think the diameter of the shaft of the tap is 19MM

thank you so much for all the information..

do you have the outside diameter of your air tube? just wondering if I can compare it to my notos to see if it's the same..
also do you know what the angle of a dovetail cutter is.. for like front sight? I saw two different angles of cutters in MSC industrial supply but I'd have to get the gun to my shop under a magnifying glass to see what the angle is.. just thought I'd ask since you are way ahead of me in machining
thank you

The outside diameter is 32MM. Just like all Spa pcp, like the PP700, P15 and M25.

Dovetail cutter I do not have any idea.

thank you for the dimensions 😁, is there anyone that you know on the forum that would know standard dovetail angle? I'm sure it's a universal, since it's been common in most all guns for scope mount.. I'm going to have to get my lighted magnifying glass mount back on my lathe so I can do this project.. I have several mounts so I can move it around.. I mostly use it over the vise to sharpen chainsaw..
I'll measure the notos tube and post it here as long as I can find this thread 😂 because I am fairly certain that the notos is made in the Spa factory.. I've seen in another thread that people have the notos and the pp750 and the parts interchange.. main difference is the cocking lever on the pp750 is on the right side and the notos is on the left.
the pp700 seems like it's a little bit shorter than the pp750.. and I see in your picture a exposed hammer on the pp700.. how do you load it? as I have not seen that area on the pp700..

I made a Notos pistol, just working on grips now. I thought the barrel was too long with the moderator housing so I cut it off and threaded the barrel end for a shorter silencer or just shoot it as is.

Red dot sight, shoots very nicely, 2lbs 12oz.
I have Notos and use it as a carbine, and I really like it as a carbine.

Has anybody tried using the Notos as a pistol?

You just converted the Notos into a PP750 which (being shorter) would make it a better pistol.
I already have a PP750 in 177 and looks just like your Notos with a shortened barrel.

Anyways, I like both the Notos and the PP750.

I created this thread and it was meant to talk about shooting the Notos in pistol form.

Stop posting completely unrelated stuff.

I and the other 99% of people without a lathe could not care less about mods which require a lathe and deep skills.
Make your own thread for that.
I'm sorry, I was just trying to get information and learn from others.. I thought that was the purpose of this forum. I'd gladly start my own thread, (although I didn't know that the thread was even someone's, I just thought it was conversation) and talk with keesbo and firewalker but I don't know how and I even had a hard time finding this conversation to catch up..
so I will try to pm them and not bother you.. I'm sorry

I guess you forgot that the notos and pp759 have a major difference.. the cocking lever is on opposite sides and I don't think it is reversible, well easily other than changing receivers.

well the notos is not a good rifle.. 28 shots.. why bother, when with the avenger you have around 100..
I have only used as a pistol and it's definitely not a pistol.. it's way too long.. I guess if you want a hog leg that can't fit any holster it's fine, but I have to rest the forend of the air tube to keep it steady..
this is the only reason why we have talked about different ways to shorten it

Has anybody tried using the Notos as a pistol?

Should I make a 12" Notos pistol with no moderator?

I'm looking at the OEM air tube this weekend to see if it can be safely shortened then test it to 8k.

It will take some machining to shorten everything but I'll explore it if there is enough interest.
