Hello. Want to remove the Butt Stock on the Umarex M1A1: saw a schematic-looks like 3 screws. Was wondering if that’s all I need to remove or if the stock is involved in any with the guns inner workings. Thank you
First; removing the but stock will have no effect on the operation of the gun. First remove the trunnion screw that holds the two metal disks together on the side of the stock. Then unscrew the two bolts on the bottom of the stock. See picture below.
Thank you. Followed your instructions. In a way, the gun without the Butt Stock, is a little like an MP 40 or Grease Gun without their stocks extended. I thought, it’s actually better, as there is a fore stock to hold onto other than the magazine. Read where both the real MP 40’s and Grease Guns had some feeding issues due to using the magazines as grips when firing rounds.
Well you can do that and it should work, just do not lose the bolts. If you do they are metric M6 1.0 x 60 for the long one and M6 1.0 x 30 I think, I wrote it down somewhere.
