Umarex Guntlet 22cal.

When i recieved my Guntlet, I was pleased with what I saw. I cleaned the barrell completly. Started with jsb 15 gr at 25 yards. After sight in. The pattern was kind of spread out, shot about 60 rounds. Then switched to 18 gr. And the pattern was tighter but was a little disapointed. Continued to shoot , at around 200 rounds it fell into a 1/2" hole. The 15gr were shooting at 820 fps and 770 fps with 18gr. So i upped the reg pressure to 1450psi. That netted 15gr 888 to 879fps. And the 18gr at 856fps to 842. And the groups were still good with the 18gr. The 15gr seamed to get a little unstable at that speed. But the gun didn't like the 15gr anyway. May try some heaver pellets and see what happens. > will update.

I think the Gauntlet id one of most FUN rifles I have shot in years. Of all my PCP's I think the Gauntlet is the one that reminds me of what it was like when I was a kid with my 760XL. I agree with Jim, you need to get at least 500 rounds through the rifle before it will show you its character. I found that the Crosman Premiers, either Domed or Hollow points performed really well in the Gauntlet. They are very affordable as well. I realize they are only 14.3gr but they seem to be the perfect break in pellet. You get 500 rounds in a tin for under $8, how can you beat that??

Have fun and please share a photo of your shot groups so us guys currently living in blocks of ice can live vicariously through you :)
